The Arches National Park is located only 3 miles out of a mining town, Moab, in south east Utah. Of course, these days, mining is not the booming business any more. You can see many hotels, shops, and restaurants in Moab. In fact, its downtown area is pretty vibrant with toruists at night! We liked the supermarket in Moab -- it just feels like HEB at home!
Since it is easily accessible, the Arches national park is fairly crowded. The arches are very beautiful and easily accessible from the main scenic drive. The delicate arch is the symbol of the state of Utah. To see the delicate arch up close is no easy task though, it returns more than an hour of steep uphill hike in completed exposed terrain.
